The core app is free — tracking your workouts, progressive overload logic, custom routines, analytics, and sharing. No subscription needed to use what matters. We may introduce optional paid features down the road, but the essentials will stay free.
After each session, the app evaluates your performance against your targets. If you hit your rep goals consistently, it increases the weight for your next session based on the lift type (typically 2.5–5kg for compounds, less for isolation). The algorithm is designed by someone who actually trains — it's not arbitrary.
If you miss your rep targets on the same lift across multiple sessions, the app flags underperformance and reduces the load. It's designed to catch this before you burn out or get hurt — the goal is long-term progress, not ego numbers.
Yes — you can add any custom exercise with your own name, category, and tracking type (weight × reps, bodyweight, time, etc.). Custom exercises track exactly the same as built-in ones.
No limit. Create as many routines as you want — daily splits, push/pull/legs, full body, powerlifting blocks, whatever works for you.
It means the app is actively being built and improved. Core functionality works well — but you may encounter bugs or features that are still being refined. If you run into anything, please report it so we can fix it fast. Your data is safe and won't be wiped between updates.
After you finish a workout, you'll see a summary screen with your session stats. From there, you can select a photo from your camera roll and the app overlays your stats onto it. Then hit share and it goes directly to whatever app you choose — Instagram, Messages, wherever.
Absolutely. Most of our clients aren't developers. You describe what you need in plain language, and we translate that into a technical plan. We'll ask the right questions and explain things clearly without jargon.
Use the contact form below or on the Contact page. Describe what you're trying to build — even roughly — and we'll follow up with a discovery call to properly scope things. Quotes are free and there's no obligation.
We'll flag it before it becomes a problem. If you want to add features or change direction mid-build, we'll quote the additional work separately and you decide whether to proceed. We don't bill you for scope creep without a conversation first.
You do. Full stop. We hand over the complete codebase and there are no strings attached. You can take it anywhere, hire someone else to maintain it, or run it yourself.
Cynetric is a software company built around one idea: excellent tools should be accessible to everyone, not just people with big budgets. We build our own apps (starting with Progressive Overload) and we also take on custom software projects for individuals and businesses.
Use the contact form below and select "Bug Report" or "Feature Request" in the dropdown. We read everything and take it seriously — especially bug reports on Progressive Overload, which is actively being improved.
